Hi everyone, im developing a site for myself, basically ill just be selling my services as a graphic designer and digital image editor. i need something basic...

anyone have any idea's on a cheap but quality web hosting company..

www.host4africa.com ... It's a local company, but they host internationally. Great value for money. Fast and accurate support. Their Basic Hosting package is like R9.99 pm.

Elitehost have excellent service. Ive been with them for more than a year and every time I have a problem (due to my own lack of IT knowledge) they have either told me step by step how to do something, or have done it all for me, all for free.

Is Elite Host capped > meaning Bandwidth use up the site will be not open....
 
It's 1.5Gb traffic for their lowest account i think which is a **** load for normal sites.

I'm not sure if they cap you, send a support request via their website or chat to Jason on msn.

I think the other bigger packages (which are DAMN cheap) offer unlimited so no worry there.

I've interpreted this in two different ways:

  1. ADSL Cap - If you use up all your international bandwidth you will not have access to your website.
  2. Hosting package bandwidth limits - If you exceed your hosting account bandwidth allocation your site will be suspended, you can upgrade at any time. We do have a fairly large bandwidth limit on even our smallest account of 15GB/month so this shouldn't really become an issue.
