I was just wondering if anybody experiences any problems with, trying to access their Iburst Mail from their website. I have tried and tried . I use the right user name and password but I am unable to access it. I tried to access it from my Mweb account and Iburst account.

I do this cause I don’t want large unwanted email sent from friend to be downloaded.
So I rather delete the ones less important .

My advice - get a gmail account - web or pop based and you keep your address when moving isp's. They have an SMTP server as well - can be used from any connection. Let me know if u need an invite.

Managed to log on to https://webmail.wbs.co.za
Username: [email protected]
password: xxxxxxx

Didn't encounter any problems

I just use my username without the @wbs.co.za

and my password it works

I tried that . I can log on to see my Bandwidth usage. But I cannot get into the web mail. I used the exact username and password that I used to log in to my BroadBand

They sometimes use different user names and passwords for these - or if you change a password somewhere along the line, the other one (which was the same) doesn't change. ppp login and mail may have different users / passwords for you - I know telkom do this. You may have to phone them

The thing is when I log in on web mail at home. Its works fine.

As soon as I try from another location it does not work.

I got the 3gb package.

Its only when I try from another location it does not work. I tried different browsers and deleting my internet history..

I tried

[email protected]
password

and

XXXXXX

password.

The same user name and password works from home. Do they maybe assign our modems to our specific registered street address and area..

Just a thought. Is it tied to the utid serial number of your device?

Could be .

With some contracts over sees They give you a home zone . 500m around your home calls are 50% cheaper once out side they are more expensive. I was wondering if maybe some services here might slow you down once outside the "home zone".

EdRobinson, iBurst is good in Soweto, I guess less contention.

I really don't get Telkom. The potential is so huge in this country if they only bring prices down and increase coverage. But as they say - you can't teach an old dog new tricks...

I think its because their info structure is so old and outdated compared to oversees companies they just trying to use the current info structure to its limits without forking out huge amount on updating the info structure.

So they are trying to reap in as much money as possible before competition shows up on their door step. Then they will playing another type of game with us
