What kind of websites do you want to do?
Only layout, or also back-end?
Flash, ASP, PHP, etc?

Depending on what you want to do, you'll use a different tool.

For a beginner I would recommend Dreamweaver CS, its still a steep learning curve for a newb but there is uber support for it on the webpipes. Either that or start to learn coding and just use a text editor :)

I would recomment WYSIWYG Web Builder, this should work for you. When all is done, you just publish the files on your pc and then upload them online.

Hi

I've been using Frontpage for many years without display problems in any browsers. Moved to MS Expression Web about 2 years ago and still all my sites can be viewed in any browser...

Easiest to learn with and uploads without having to use 3rd party FTP utilities, as long as the server supports it. ;)

Incomedia Website X5.

About R850 including Template Pack.

Nothing is easier than this program, nothing,

Sad thing is. I lost my legitimate version :mad: (you have to pay again to download it). So now I have to scourge and see where to get it again :(

I would suggest notepad or scite for coding, and photoshop for graphics.

but if you dont wanna learn to code then use dreamweaver. it adds a bunch of crap inda code u dont really need, but if your not coding then who cares.

I'd say notepad as well. (or better yet, Notepad++)

Code:
<html>
   <body>
      Hello World
   </body>
</html>

:p

You need to run server software like Apache ( WAMP) or IIS depending on wether you're going to go for Linux or Windows webhosting, this allows you to test against the major webbrowser quirks.
