Hi guys

There are currently a few problems on the SAIX network with regard to no connectivity.

Please see the Web Africa status page for a list of affected areas.

@PoiZoNouZ - Could you please pm me your details so that I may investigate your query to see if it is related to the outage or if it is an isolated matter.

Thank you.

Hi guys

Just thought I'd update the thread.

The connectivity issues on the SAIX network has since been resolved.

Thank you.

I'm curious to know how those affected by "no connectivity" are actually going to see that webpage.

well... obviously if they have no connectivity then they can't view any pages. that should go without saying. however, those lucky enough to have a different account can then use that page to view the status.

If you can start a new thread on this website, you can view the status updates from WebAfrica. It's a small little thing called common sense.

He had an internet connection to say he couldn't connect, so that means he could also view the WA site.

If you've got anything against WA, take it up with them.

I checked the status list via another connection and my area was NOT affected yet my authentication requests were selectively going through. Perhaps after 10-15 attempts. I suspect that the RADIUS bandwidth was low, packets were getting dropped or taking longer than the mandatory 5 seconds to get through. Something along those lines.

What's odd is that I was getting the effects of an Access-Reject (might just be Windows PPPoE interpreting the error incorrectly). In other words, a definite user or domain not valid error and not a timeout. Strange. Which is why I think the SAIX proxy perhaps sent back an Access-Reject after the 5 second timeout. Just guess though.

It seems better tonight so I guess the issue was congestion related perhaps.
