Yes, you can opt to host in their local data center in cape town in which case you can use local only bandwidth.

for a forum like myBB how much disk space and what not would i need?

Hi Project X,

You can use local - only access for their web hosting if you choose the server location to be South Africa. As for the requirements, you will need their "Essentials" plan, as it has support for a database (you need one for the forum). The 100 megabytes storage of that account is more than enough for an installation of a forum.

I would personally go for Linux, however that choice would really be up to you. The Windows one will cost an extra R37.00 for the same thing.
