WebAfrica is Awesome!!

I agree with everything you say diesel. All I am saying some people are misusing forums like these. If you have a problem with WA, why dont title the thread "Webafrica problem". I am sure WA would have resolve the problem just as fast. Every company makes mistakes, some company are just better than others to rectify the problem. WA has a very good reputation dealing with matters like these. Why lash out at them like that?

perhaps the title was a bit harsh, but it was one good way to get their attention. sometimes you need to be more aggressive, rather than passive.

I think that most consumers are so used to being ripped off and schnied by companies that most customer automatically assume an adversarial stance. Understandable that scorpion lashed out- and after his problem were sorted out he rightly realised he had gone a little overboard, so he posted this second thread commending WA. Sure the other thread stands on record- however that thread also sees the CEO of WA reply quickly and offer to sort out the problem immediately.

Yeah it might have been a bit harsh, but its a headline and it represented the way I felt at the time. Was it an over reaction? Well my problems didn't just happen all on one day.

Yes I'm sure you've had great service and in the past I too have experienced great service from them. I'm sure most people have never even had a single problem with them. If I had a problem here or there I would simply either call, email or MSN them and there was no stress no fuss.

Its when the problems felt like they were piling up and I wasn't getting answers or solutions that I 'lashed' out. Was I wrong? Well I very rarely get upset and "CRAP" is not a choice word in my vocabulary so there must have been some reason.

I think the biggest problem you have was with the headline alone. A headline is very powerful and I might have slightly misused it, however, I wasn't exactly In the mood to brainstorm possible (Viewer friendly) headlines at the time.

A point I must make is that had I not written that thread I would have just silently moved my accounts over to another ISP. In doing so I would have avoided any more fuss. Because I posted it WebAfrica jumped at the opportunity and Kept me on as a customer.

Honestly I didn't think that they would monitor the thread like that and I just thought it was a place to vent and air the problems I was having. Then others would come forward with similar issues they were having and i wouldn't feel like I was the only one.

You stated that I was misusing the forums by posting this stuff. Well what else is the forum for? I see plenty of threads started by people complaining about every aspect of Telkom. Telkom does deserve it however but in this case just because WebAfrica is a good company doesn't mean I can't keep them in check and let them know what I was upset about. If I didn't tell them they wouldn't know.

Anyway thats that, they helped me outand I'm a happy customer once again

Well done WA!! :D

Boet i wouldnt worry too much about this whole thing, your actions where reactions caused by your dissatisfaction. You moaned and got a good result, if anything u have helped WA's reputation by people seeing they do care etc. Its a win win IMO. BTW WA im still waiting for u guys to transfer my acc from Telskom! :)

Thanks man, I agree with what you said. Just making sure people don't think I'm the difficult type that complains all the time :)

I emailed Mariet at WebAfrica in response to her post and within 5mins I received a phone call with solutions to my problems.

Mariet is The Best! :D

You were not wrong. That’s how you felt at that moment anyways.

These types of things are what the forums are there for. Nice to keep the ISP's on their toes sometimes. Go WA! :D
