Just got an email from Web Africa:

10GB IS Local Only R70 p/m
30GB IS Local Only R130 p/m
Prices include VAT.

YEAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

we got some competition on our hands :D.....in the end we benefit :)

OpenWeb hereby wishes to inform its clients of an instant ADSL Local Only price decrease:

10GB Local Only - R69 per month, Incl VAT
30GB Local Only - R121 per month Incl VAT

Current customers will be billed the new amount from end December, for Januarie's access.

Debit Order clients will be charged the new rate for Januarie's access.

:D :D

I am sure these guys are actually making a loss on these accounts.. :/

Thats the last thing I would want!

But then again, whats the lesser of 2 evils
1) Sell a poduct at a loss and keeping a customer
2) Let your compertition sell the product at a loss, causing you to loose a customer

I think this may be cause of my awesomt thread earlier :D Grats WebAfrica! Now I can get myself a account :D

awesome more savings

does this apply to ppl already signed up?

the way i look at it, openweb changed the local bandwidth thing

so webafrica is just playing catch up :)

Guys let's not turn this into a bashing of which ISP is better, they're both great. Openweb may have come out with local only IS accounts first, but Webafrica remains the only ISP to have prepaid bandwidth with rollover.

If anything, we should be happy that the ISP's are increasing their product range.

Agreed.

I have a WebAfrica Prepaid and an OpenWeb Local Account. Both are awesome and excellent. Each have their strong point and complement each other. I beleive that all businesses can use these 2 as a model for customer service and innovation.

Did I read correctly ? 30GB local only prices dropped to R121 at the end of December for January's access ? Hoooohah !!!

That's awesome news ! :D

I am loving Openweb even more and more and more.....
