Has anyone else experienced this?
Yesterday I signed up for a VPS on Cloud.co.za because the website clearly advertised it at R130/month. I completed the order and paid the R130.
Today I received an email saying the monthly price has been increased to R260/month, effective immediately.
What confuses me is that the VPS page on their website is still showing R130/month.
So I’m trying to understand:
I’m not accusing anyone of anything, but from a customer’s perspective it feels strange to sign up based on one advertised price, only to be told the very next day that it has doubled while the website still advertises the lower price.
I’d be interested to hear if this was a genuine pricing update, or if others have had the same experience.

- Why is the website still advertising R130 if the new price is R260?
- Shouldn’t existing customers who signed up at the advertised price be grandfathered in, at least for a reasonable period?
- Has anyone else received the same email?
