Why the hell is webafrica the latgest ISP with no one working on weekends? Been trying to get through to tech help for 2 days now, no answer. If you like quick responsive customer support dont go webafrica.

OK so let me rephrase. Had fibre installed Friday late, tried to contact wa for 2 days no answer. Got through now, they have no fibre support weekends anyway? I find the astonishing and informative to anyone willing to pay for the service.

I was thinking of getting webafrica telkom ftth this week (mainly due to free installation); but this worries me. I sent WA a message yesterday and still no reply, so guess they take the weekends off...

How was your whole experience though? from application to installation? timeframes, communication etc...

ADSL with WA has been good. Their support is atrocious though. I would have left them long ago had it not been for myBB reps who sort the problems out pretty quickly.

My whole experience has been weird to tell you the truth.

Telkom and the contractor was at my house 9 times the last week because they have no idea how to schedule. They only needed to be there a total of 3 times, twice telkom and once the contractors. Due to bad planning they were coming and going waiting for each other.

As for WA, I had the installation done the weekend, have a WAN router etc so only needed them to activate my full speed fibre data. Did not get through to them till now. Still need to get home and test but suspect i need do do another call because if i look at my profile my fibre is still pending. Luckly i can run my adsl data over the fibre line.

Total waiting time for WA has been 2 days. I just could not understand that after waiting for telkom so long for installation WA did not have support to do a simple activation on a saterday, i mean, every other isp has weekend support thats usually really helpful.

Anyway, good luck, i'm looking at the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi TheGoosen,

This is really not nice to hear at all :( We're really sorry for the rocky start and hope you'll us give a chance to turn things around. Can you please PM me your account details so the light can come sooner and not at the end of the tunnel?

Howzit man,

Dont worry everything is sorted. I really dont like burning anyone so sorry for that but I do look into client support for fibre. I'm rather involved and interested in everything tech so getting a new fibre line and choosing you (i've been a WA client for about 2 years) as a provider means a lot. Still not being able to get through or activate a product during a weekend is a no-no.

I'm glad to hear everything is sorted! By the same token, I completely understand where you're coming from and it's completely understandable why you were upset because poor service is frustrating.

Thank you for your continued support and for sticking with us, if you need any assistance, please give me a shout.
