WebAfrica not working AGAIN!!

Well, I started a download this morning around 6am to get Windows 7 Pro ISO from microsoft.com (this is available legally provided you have a key :))

The download was flying flatlining my link and then at 8am the thing grinds to a horrible halt. It can now barely get connected and the internet has got extremely slow too.

The last time I bought this up with WebAfrica it was pushed under the carpet with a response of "Google caching servers are down". Well, I don't buy that excuse anymore. Unless it went down at exactally 8am this morning.

I am now sitting with 1.9gig downloaded of 2.2gig and can't do a bloody thing. I am sorry if this is coming across as harsh but I have a line with WebAfrica and bandwidth because it has always worked well, now I need to go and find another service provider that works during the day?

Anybody else experiencing these problems?

WebAfrica, what is going on with the network? and please don't tell me Google servers are down again, if you are reliant on google caching servers then you don't have enough bandwidth to cope with your current client base.

sigh. Well, I am not at home at the moment. I will need to check again later. This just seems to be happying a lot more often lately. Hopefully it will just go away and start working again.
 
No problems here either. Upgrades went through and browsing is fine.
 
Unfortunatlly yet. I am starting to wonder if it is not a problem with the Telkom exchange though although it does seem to work on my Afrihost account. It is not the full 4mb but still faster than my WebAfrica account :(

There shouldn't be a reason as to why it's slow.
Have you created a ticket with our ADSL guys yet to see if they can possibly see any reasoning for it? If you have, drop me a PM with your client code and ticket ref # and I'll follow up on things for you :)
