Last night (Monday 29th) while working on Webafrica's webmail, I logged out of one account and tried to login to another account but the login failed. I contacted Webafrica at about 10:00 , they verified the problem and said they would look into it and call me back.

No call back.

This morning I can't even access the login page.

I have called them on the phone three times, get put in the queue and then, after some time, get cut off.

I'm not happy with Webafrica.

Ken

Update: after one more cut-off and being directed to sales after pressing the support key, I ended up with Craig who reported that the webmail servers are down and being worked on. Good job Craig.

Hi There Ken,

First of all i would like to apologise for your experience last night , i will definately sort that problem out for you.

As per our telephonic conversation , we are experiencing difficulties with one of our plesk servers. We have our engineering department taking a look into it and i will give you telephonic updates periodically.

Thank you for being so understanding.

2nd Update. As above, Jason called me and has been keeping me up to speed all morning while the problem was being worked on. I received a call at about 13:40 to say the problem was resolved and it is.

Webafrica have responded well and I appreciate the attention they gave to the problem. Jason offered to give me a credit on my account in recognition of the hassle. Let me make myself clear on this: I am happy to pay my fees (and more) for great service. I am happy to pay my fees to have professionals on the case when things go wrong. (because they always do)

I run a business and, as now when I am waiting for Telkom to install an ADSL line in my new home, I depend on webmail for the running of my business. I'm much more interested in having problems resolved than getting a discount.

So props to Webafrica and Jason for responding. My apologies for being crabby earlier.

Ken

This is the reason I support them......because of the service they give. Every company has a bad day.....what sets WA from the rest is the way the handle problems.......

Well done guys!!!!!

PS: @WA: I have referred many people to you because of your customer service levels........Any chance of "referal rewards"?

Hi Telkomhater,

Please sign up as an affiliate on our website, this is free of charge and you make money off all clients that are referred to us :)

I'm sorry but I will never in my life send anyone else to WA again because of my experience dealing with their hosting department. I firmly believe that if you can't handle running something then don't offer it. If WA can only handle adsl and not hosting then they shouldn't be offering hosting in the first place. So either way, you won't get any more referrals from me :(

@teraside: HAHAHAHAHAHA I told you if you don't ask you dont receive.

@WAJason: This is brilliant! I wish I knew about it earlier. Let the bucks start rolling in! I just signed up!
