Just wanted to publicly thank WebAfrica.

Our company has a domain resisted with Worldonline->Tiscally->Mweb and we had an ADSL Account and a top-up account. Yesterday all was fine, we survived the 1/11 disaster, or so I thought.

This morning no email and no web access.
The server was fine, The line was fine, authentication failed.
Contact Mweb, after 3 hours we discover that they have consolidated both 3G accounts into 1, un requested, 6G Account and that our login details have changed.
They gave us the new details, we reconfigured the server and guess what, authentication fails.

Phone them for the 6th time today, now 2PM and we need to send them a fax etc.. to have the password reset. Last time I did that it took them 4 days to change the password. We have already been down for the whole day.

So I call WebAfrica, within 5min, I have an account active and my server on-line.

I called Mweb back, and advised them to transfer our domain to WebAfrica.

After 10 years of their **** this is the last straw.

Thanks WebAfrica, our email is working and our domain and company account are about to be transfer. Expect a few of our clients as well.

These guys know what service is :)
Cheers
Chris

Yep they sure do. And MWEB are completely ridiculous. Seriously - I hate MWEB and all they stand for.

Thank you WA

Just wanted to thank WA for their great service! I joined them at the start of the 30GB promotion and will still stick with them! Their service is absolutely Fantastic! Keep on doing the great work!
:)

Just shows how good service can sway people :) and the exact reason why I am with WA :) keep up the good work guys.

Ye, I must confess, WA has the best support system I've ever seen. They also are on top of new developments. Been waiting several months for Axxess to even get a "change password" feature. WA has that AND MORE.

Plus they cheap. Thinking of moving my domain there to save some dosh

I was with webafrica, the 30GB promotion. But Telkom betterd there deal...
i get 3GB for guess how much?

...

...

wait for it...

...

FREE:D

another balls up @ telkom but i am not complaining

The exact reason why I left Axxess.

Sent both ISPs an email at the same time, WA replied within 3/4 hour. It's been a week now and I have heard nothing from Axxess.
Difference in price (a few rand) is worth all the stress-sh|t of putting up with Axxess's cr@ppy service.

Ok, they're a very small operation, but geeze, at least show your face in these forums once in a while. Especially considering that it was these forums that put you on the map!

Oh yes, there's that as well.
They promised on these forums that it would be a month. It's now three.

Webafrica is not problem free but what makes them great is how they deal with these problems! They have helped me out at 3:00AM! With the 1st Nov issues they had they were posting on the forums as well and it was also around 3:30AM. Their support is No.1

They even send you Happy Bday emails!! :)
I might host something in the next year and it will be with WA for sure.

Even with all ISP's offerings (like a pimp daddy selling of his cheap whores to us), I will stay with WA just because thier service is of first world standards and their prices are just as competitive as the others

The last few days must have been difficult for the boys, but they pulled it through rather nicely.

KEEP IT UP!!!

You hit the nail on the head. No ISP is perfect. But it's how they deal with problems that puts them ahead of the rest.

As long as Web Africa can keep this up, they will win over a great deal of users.

Agree about Mweb - they are totally useless. Been having dialup, business mail and domain with them and always had problems. A couple of months ago they set up an ADSL account for me without me asking for it or actually informing me. Saw it when the invoice showed up. Been trying to cancell but they still draw money from my account and now refuse to refund??????
Talking about crocked!
I moved all my stuff to WebAfrica including an ADSL account. Everything was done within a day and havent had any problem.
MWeb still owe me money for wrongly charging me - still fighting with them about it but all i get is promises with nothing happening.
Have heard from other people with huge accouning problems with MWeb - BIG WARNING ABOUT MWEB
