WebAfrica Shocking Service

This all began on +- 28 January. I made an account to access WebAfrica control panel to buy and add bandwidth. When I was busy creating the account I decided to delete the 30GB local account before I registered my new account. But after deleting it in the checkout box and creating the account, they still billed me for something that I deleted in the checkout box. So I requested that webafrica delete the 30 GB account (last day on January) so that I can add my credit card info and buy a 30 GB bandwidth account with the family credit card. They sent me an email saying that the account will be deleted at 2009/01/31. They didn’t delete the local account as they said in the email. Now after buying the 30 GB account that they didn’t deleted as requested with the family credit card and using it for a day or two, they decided that they need more info from me. They requested a scanned image of my credit card and ID number. I'm not comfortable with sending them my personal info. After trying to get the money back they said to me that they can’t give the money back because I all ready use the account. So they disable and deleted my account that I only had for like two days. So basically they stole my money.
What angers me the most is the fact that if they needed a copy of my ID number and a image of my credit card they should have asked on the website registering the transaction

The info they asked.
Credit Card
Cardholder Name:
Card Number:
Expiration Date (mm/yy)
Card Verification Code (CVC)

so let me get this strait; You had account A but canned it on the 28th while creating account B. Then you were billed for A because it still felt into the billing cycle, because you were too late in the canceling and didn't call it though prior to had it refunded after it went off. You also Paid for Account B.

you asked for which account to be canceled then A or B ?; whilst using account B which got deleted and disabled and now they want more details...

...pardon me but geees i as the person on the other side would be confused too; as pointed out above no-one has stolen your money.

I have created a new WebArica client account to buy bandwidth. Before I click on next button to make the WebAfrica account I made sure that I deleted all the items in the checkout box so that the account was clean
so it was not an old account with the 30 gig local in, but you had it in the new account and wanted to remove the items to be bought from the checkout only to create an account with nothing in it...

...just phone - sure they will sort it out. I also would decline to send a copy of my cc through.

Never try and do stuff like that at the end of the month, dude. You are asking for problems.

I think much of the problem is that he used two credit cards with one account. The first local IS I bought with my credit card from WebAfrica resulted in me buying 3 of them by accident! I cancelled two and renewed the third beginning this month. Their responses to my email queries and requests were prompt and without incident. This all also happened right at the end of the month over the last weekend.

I deeply apologize for the inconvenience that was caused. I sent you a private message. Looking forward to you're response.

hehe, i had webafrica before i moved to an address without telkom lines. best service. only thing is i remember cancelling my account with them 2weeks before the end of the month but then the following month it was stil working and they billed me. only thing i got was a phone call 5 days into the new month saying that my account will be deactivated at the end of the current month. it could've been an issue but i ended up moving a month late anyways. i think thats why they added the '30 day cancellation notice'.

hope everything was sorted. they're really a nice ISP.

Hey Doctorza. I'm awaiting you're response with regards to the private message I sent you. Have a wonderful day.. :)
