Hi all i recently had to swap from ADSL to LTE becuse of the thefts in my area, and I got this uncapped service for a few months now.Just the start of this month the speed has been less thatn even 1meg?Is this normal?Should i swap to a capped account?Im a bit shocked at even during the day it's so slow for this month.

I looked at the 220gig packages but R1069 a month is steep for just internet alone, there is no fiber in my area yet.Not sure what to do about this,Could it be a fault on my account? The past couple months it was decent speed during the day,now it is unusable

past two days have been unusable i thought it would work itself out but no change even today.Any help would be greatly appreciated

The best is to try different frequencies.
In the beginning I had 80+ Mbps but now it's around 10 Mbps.
Try 2300, 1800, 2100, 2100+1800, 2300+1800 mhz.
I use 2300+1800 during the day and 2100 during peak hours.

I was stuck in the same kind of situation. One of the WebAfrica techs should be able to see where your issues are stemming from, whether the tower closest is over-subscribed or you're just really getting a bad signal. In case they are unable or unwilling, perhaps you can share the modem stats here so that all the knowledgeable folks here can see if they can help?

Does this help?It still is very slow not sure what these guys are doing making us all change to LTE when it is so bad during the night when im home from work.If telkom can't afford to repair the lines they should just atleast try to give a better service.Web africa said they opened a ticket with telkom and heard nothing after that.

Your SINR is zero hence the slow speed.
Get that up, 30 is 100%
Also try and get the RSRP into the low 80's
Move the modem around the house to find a better spot.

I agree with ProAsm, from what I know that's somewhat low. A bit of modem optimisation will take you far! You can also get an antenna, but that is only an option I would consider if your speeds stay abysmal. I know ADSL is vanishing, so there's little chance of the lines getting repaired timeously IMO.

Evenings can be especially bad because that's prime browsing and streaming time for everyone. Perhaps a bit of judicious browsing around this forum's ISP section can help too, especially in the speedtests area, you usually learn quickly what works and what does not.

The max i can get that SINR to is like 7,I can't really move my office setup unfortunalty. Would an antenna help me out alot?Trying for the RSRP as well. Thanks for all the help guys,I wonder would fiber be in many more areas by next year?
