I have been a customer of Webafrica for over 10 years.
The service had been good and prices fair.

These days things have been going badly wrong.
I had issues with the hosting and now for the past week there have been issues with me not being able to connect to the email server.
The VDSL has been super slow.
Sending a PM to WAhelper or WAguy are ignored on this forum.

It seems the support staff are incompetent and cannot deal with the problems at hand.
When you rate their service bad then they phone you to complain about your rating.

What's happening WA. Why are you pushing me to another ISP?

I'll just say this:

VOX.

The last time WAHelper was here was ages ago. My guess is that WA has stopped this service

I queried this twice on facebook WA page, and it is simply ignored.

It seems WA support has gone to the dogs - maybe trying to cut costs??

WA has gimped their service for the last few years now.

Really?

VOX service desk never once responded to me in under 24hours and were generally unhelpful and more concerned with closing the ticket.

I have a VOX after hours account and on the few occasions I have needed support, their response time has been superb. For me, based on my limited experience, I have to say I am impressed with them

This is what happens when you deal with a company where management are basically used car salesmen: only caring about how many suckers they can sell their substandard product to. The best thing you can do to such a company is not give them a cent of your money, and then watch them go into liquidation.

This might sound harsh but, my lemmings' theory goes both ways. ;)

Rhetorical question:

Why do you need support?

There Internet is k@k as of late.

So I switched to Vox.

It happens.

Afrihost fcked up last year, took a massive hit lost a lot of customers.

Those customers flock to WA Web Africa fcked up by not having the infrastructure, now we flock again. This time I went to the most exciting expensive hoping not too many will flock to Vox as well.

So all in all I think the fundamental issue is ISP's goes greedy and over sell instead of expand.
