When I log onto webmail on the vodacom4me site, using Internet Explorer 6.0, the email link does not respond. When one moves the cursor over the messaging link, the secondary menus do appear, and if one moves the cursor onto any of those, the colour of the link changes, but none of the secondary menu links respond when one click on them. Can this have something to do with a setting in Explorer or something like Java?? Version 7.0 of Explorer does not work on my computer, it crashes my system, so I have to stay with ver. 6.0. Firefox 2.0.0.11 does get me into my mailbox, but when I try to compose a new mail, a dialogue pops up with the following error message: "error enabeling design mode", and subsequently: "error executing command". One cannot then access the massage area to compose a mail, it turn grey.

Do you experience similar problems when trying to use GMail? [i.e. give GMail a try - if you do get similar problems in Firefox then check your browser's JavaScript settings].

E-mail link not responding in Internet Explorer

No similar problems in G-mail using Firefox. If I click on Tools/Java console in Explorer a list of settings is displayed, but nothing I can change. Where do I change the Java settings, and what should I change?

Regards.

Ok, since GMail is working in Firefox, follow these destructions in GMail:
  1. Click on Settings [top right]
  2. Click on Accounts [settings tab]
  3. Scroll down to "Get mail from other accounts:"
  4. Click on "Add another mail account", and add your Vodamail pop3 account details
This will then allow you to receive emails sent to your Vodamail account in GMail, you can also add your Vodamail email address in the "Send mail as:" settings section in GMail.
