Website development - Advice please

I'm not a fan of any page builder, but @LandyMan I recommend this for a DIY solution:

It's a Gutenberg builder for WordPress. Seems like a very good quality product from the little I've seen. Certainly better than trash like Elementor or Divi. Pair that with basic web hosting from a host like Absolute Hosting and you should find your way around.

I don't know man. Yeah it has it's kinks and bugs but I've done clients sites with it with no issue.
And then clients are saddled with a very limited website, no CMS and no access to the incredible world of WordPress plugins. Considering how cheaply and easily WP sites can be made if necessary, there's just no excuse for that.

There's a time and place for WP dude. This isn't any of them.

I could build a basic brochure site in a few hours tops, maybe even <2 hours. WP makes things incredibly easy, especially for SEO, security, forms, hosting and maintenance.

This is certainly a perfectly fine time and place for WP my dude.

Idk if you're part of the Linux crew, but I mean you don't have to force WP down our throats bro.

I understand where you're coming from, reminds me of myself back in the day. When you become a big boy in the web dev world, you'll understand why WP isn't the answer to everything.

What does Linux have to do with anything?

Who said WP was the answer to everything?

I’m a front end engineer who works mostly in React these days. I can’t wait to be a big boy web dev and be as cool as you.

And no, I use a Mac.

Requirement:
Hi all

It has been a minute since I had to do any web coding :)
Looking for a tool (not wordpress - unless that is the way to go), to develop a simple 1 or 2 page site, basically providing static information, no fancy stuff, maybe a contact form.

Ideas please?

Proposed Solution:
Use Mobirise. Bootstrap builder with a solid foundation for what you want.

Doesn't offer a solution but shits on existing one:
Absolutely not do use Mobirise. One of the worst products I've ever come across.

comes to senses and offers solution, which is cool but really doesn't take cost engineering or OP's skill level into consideration or even what OP asked for:

I provide reason why I used proposed solution:
I don't know man. Yeah it has it's kinks and bugs but I've done clients sites with it with no issue.

Shits on solution I used previously for clients you've never met or understood requirements for:

Takes two hours to build a brochure site on WP while claiming to be a Front end engineer
