Website disclaimers

problem with googling it is you end up with fairly generic stuff. is there no south African specific sort of disclaimers? i tried to speak to a lawyer but he had no clue regarding the internet and disclaimers..

Well then you need to speak to a lawyer that specializes it internet related law.

Why would you get sued if someone posts their opinion online?

anonymous review sites are a relatively new development.
i am fairly sure that i will most likely not get sued.
but it's worth looking into just in case.
a bad review or an embellished rant might cost a business or product some revenue.
i just don't want to be the target if that ever had to happen

Don't forget copyright in case someone posts a pic or something .. copyrighted.
Pinterest has a good T&C covering this.
Layers are expensive... Very expensive!

Do research, get all the "genetic stuff" together and in a nice doc, then get all the "extras" that you think you might need (copyright protection, slander, etc..) and put that in a doc. Give all that to the lawyer so all they need to do is read your provided stuff and then possibly modify or add to it as opposed to them having to go out and spend 10 hours collecting the info and charging you for that.
