Mine was working fine up until about 2 hours ago.
I think the Y2K bug hit about 8 years later than expected. Half of my internets is not working.

Everything working fine here including Gmail.
Assuming you're with a Telkom ISP, change the DNS settings to the alternative SAIX DNS servers. See if that makes a difference.

If the problem is at your office and assuming you're on a big company network, then it could be the internal DNS servers that are stingy or the company firewall that's acting up. Then the above DNS changes will be irrelevant anyway.

This worked for me, facebook now loading correctly etc.

pop or web based? If it is pop based, the proxy shouldn't make any difference. For web based, try using https://mail.google.com

my gmail is fine. imap & web.
websites still problematic. using the proxy dsl-cache.saix.net:8080 but then i have to change proxies all the time when going to work etc...
also my mobile doesn't doe proxies over its wifi i think.

confirmation of saix problem
someone phoned my last night saying they replicated and confirmed the problem is on saix side and they are working to fix this. no time line yet... using dsl-cache.saix.net:8080 works as a temp workaround.

This issue has now been resolved by SAIX, so browsing should now have returned to normal.

Hi, I don't work for Telkom, I work for an ISP and got confirmation from SAIX, the problem apparently was with the Access Control Lists on the transparent cache.
