If I remember correctly, when signing up for my TelkomInternet (SAIX) 3GB-SH I remember seeing "10 mb web site hosting space" or something to that effect being included in the package..

Anybody know how/where this can be activated?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: According to http://www.telkomsa.net/products/adsl_telkom_internet.jsp, if you signed up for an Advanced account (2 sessions etc) -- I did, you do get 5MB webspace. Activating this is what I'd like to know how to do.

I'm also having this annoying problem:
I want to start using the mail account provided with my account by telkom. I can log into the webmail interface and sent from their SMTP etc fine with my login account they gave me, but when I send mail to the address, I get the following:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at telkomsa.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
Your message was bounced by our server.

How does this work? How can I have a mail account with them that logs into webmail etc but when mail is sent to that address it gets returned to the sender O_o?

Jeez what a joke :/
Easy for Telkom to advertise all these nifty little extras that come with the account, but when you want to use them they're either impossible to find out how to activate, or simply don't work? Or am I missing something here? :/

Anyways, thanks to whoever helps me with this in advance...

because the [email protected] might only be the login username and not the actual email address -- when logged into the webmail see if there is an options link and see what email address is linked to this username.

another way is to send an email from your webmail to somebody you know and ask him what the from address is that was used.

send email to [email protected] or [email protected] and ask them to fax you the forms.

You can call 0800 DSL DSL too. I cannot remember the number I phoned but I believe it was 0800 DSL DSL. They fax you the form, you just fill in the stuff about hosting (LOADS OF OTHER **** YOU DON'T NEED TO FILL IN) and fax it back.

Why Telkom makes this process so complicated I don't know, but that is TELKOM for you! Monopolies tend to be this way. Especially one that has become so rotten at its core that only breaking it apart will solve the problem.

Exactly what I did. Sent it to my highveldmail.co.za account, and from there i REPLIED to the mail and the messge returned. :/

Anyways thx for the support. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed some light here :/
