Better not to poke the bear, but I'd be very surprised if he did anything. It doesn't make sense to be a bad neighbour, and the law is still being rewritten.
Anyone know the legality of a plant or two for home use? That also sort of acceptible atm?

The constitutional court judgement was very clear. You can possess and grow marijuana for your personal consumption in private. Growing a few plants at home is perfectly legal, the only grey area is exactly how many you can grow without being considered a dealer.

Yeah, at the moment it is pretty much at the discretion of whoever comes and knocks on your door. If you get a hardass they'll make your life hell even if you have just one plant, but lets face it what is the likelyhood of that happening considering how ineffectual our police force is.

I mentioned before that I had 30 plants when I started this season and I found that to be a reasonable amount for home use. In the past I averaged about 150 grams per plant in 25 litre buckets. This will give you almost 5 kilos of bud. I smoke at least 10 grams every day which is about 4 kilos a year. Now close to harvest time I only have 14 plants like the ones in the front which will definitely yield more than 150 grams per plant and two gorillas which will probably be close to a kilo each hopefully. So once one do the math and apply some logic one can come to the conclusion hopefully that six plants is in no way a reasonable number of plants to settle for and hopefully the legislation doesn't go that route.

I know a lot of growers on here buy seeds but you know what about the growers that has gone beyond that level and want you start dabbling with their own unique strain or the growers that want to see the traits of a certain strain over a number of plants, you need a lot of plants for that. For instance out of my grow I only selected two unique plants that came out very well that is going over to next season.

A lot of my bud gets gifted and traded in my little circle simply to get feedback and also to get access to other grower's weed.

Depends on where you are. I've been arrested my fair share and what a joke each time. Last time I've had 15 police officers and a dog unit at my place, at least a hundred police man hours wasted to arrest me for three plants which I got back. So yes they sure love wasting money and resources. In fact you should look up their budget for wrongful arrest court cases versus their salaries per year. I smoke openly on my property and none of my neighbours have a problem with it in fact I gifted a plant to each of them this year.

He seems chilled until he has a bad day one day and wants to just make your life difficult.
