Weed growers thread

Got the currency 60x on in the second photo on bidorbuy for cheap. It works I guess, but I have nothing to compare it to. I can see the trichomes clearly, slightly better than in the attached photos taken through it with my camera.

Where did you see the Carson for R400?

If you Google you'll find quite a few places that sell them, Growguru and Futurama are both the same price but I found a local place close to me that stocks them.

Camera World

This is an example of what I get with mine, I don't zoom on the camera, the Carson has rubber grips so taking photos will be easier.

Btw, anyone know where I can get my hands on sunflower lecithin?

Is it for edibles, I've seen it in some cannabutter recipes but haven't tried it? What quantity are you looking for because I see quite a few places that sell them as supplements?

Thanks for the pics! Yeah the Carson looks a little better, but similar to what I can see through mine.

Yes lecithin is for edibles, haven't tried it before, so not sure what is good to use. Read somewhere that the supplements are not always pure lecithin, so don't want to buy just anything...

Pics are from the currency microscope. There is a video review on the Carlson, goes into more detail than mine.

What comes with in the kit ?
Do you have space in your garden to plant it with good light ? Auto's need lots of light ---- I move mine at lunchtime to get more sun.
20L is good size ...
Final soil is a personnel choice - I use coco-coir and feed it EHG nutrients.. but I guess any nutrient rich soil, preferable sterile regarding pests, should be fine , try get something with PH of 5.5-6.5..

The kit is just a grow bag that is 100% compostable with a specially formulated organic groweedmix that supports superior cannabinoid yield. There isn't enough good light to plant it in the garden, so I believe going with the container method will be better in order to move the plant around as you do for more light. Guess when i see the plant shooting through the soil I will do the transplant.

I can also recommend a 20L pot but with freedom farm organic craft soil.

EHG nutrients are horrible. You're better off using petrol.
Please expand on this - I started with the nutes that come with the autopot starter system from hydroponic.co.za which were absolute ****, then switched to EHG which have been much better - I am just switching to flower, should I change my nutes ?

If you want to go synthetic nutes just use the flora series, if you want to try organicish route go biobizz.

Took some pictures today. Looking at another three weeks for the first batch to get ready hopefully.

These are most of the late bloomers.

I've been using EHG this season for an outdoor grow and I'm quite happy with it. Would prefer going organic next grow.
Do you use EHG outside in organic or soilless mix?

Just to clarify true organic soil like Freedom Farms doesn't need nutrients, it should have enough until after flowering. Mine is just organic potting soil mixed with vermiculite. On the bottle it says for hydro and soil, I've been following the feeding schedule on the bottle and haven't had any issues.

I've always just used ordinary nursery compost with some vermiculite and occasional seagrow when I grew in pots and it worked just fine. Depends on strain I guess.

Nowadays its homemade compost in standard sandy capetown soil. Beginning of growing season I add some bounceback, vermiculite, peat, calcium carbonate, epson salts. Not a lot at all and most of its probably not even needed. Then just diluted seagrow once a month or so.

My plants are healthy and get huge (1.5 - 2.5m on average)

Understand you guys are talking about indoor / hydro / specialized strains here - just want to remind those new to this you don't need anything special - its called 'weed' for a reason.
