Weekend Employment

Please note that I have been coming to the site to read through certain links and I am to the understanding that someone can be able to assist me.

I am currently employed in PTA Gezina at Medipost as an IT Technician. But my problem is that my current task deals with inhouse software therefore have lost a little bit of my spark when it comes to the REAL IT stuff. I am hoping if anyone can have something REAL IT for me for weekends I would appreciate. I have now close to four years Technical support proffessional experience.

Some advice:
1) List your current roles at work. What do you do everyday at work?
2) What do you want to do? I.e. what do you mean by "Real IT stuff"?
3) Your qualifications/degrees? (If not impressive, get your hands on teach-yourself books and start booking Comptia, MS, CISCO, etc exams. It's always a good idea to stay up to date with the latest tech and make yourself more marketable. Possibly start a university degree if you don't have one? Part time students meet evenings and/or weekends)

You could spread the word amongst friends/family that you do pc repair/installation/virus removal and start your own weekend business that way. There's quite a demand for such services. I understand how boring IT tech is! Good luck!
