Weekend getaway - Cape Town

I am looking to get away for the weekend, lets say no more than 2-3 hours drive from Cape Town.
Anyone know of nice and cheap places? Will most likely be 6 people... and don't want to break the bank...

Cape Town has so many amazing options. One of my favourites is Greyton - perfect for a exceptionally silent escape from Jozi life for me.

Try Hermanus Esplanade. Nothing fancy but its crazy cheap and has everything you need, and its right in the centre of town too. They have various accommodation types from 2 sleeper up to 8 sleeper.

It's luxurious but not over the top, still self catering and very relaxed vibe, on the dunes right against the tides. Back when they first started being rented out a couple of year back it was somewhere between R1500-R2000's for the three storey house per night, I see now they have removed rates from their site, must be getting much more queries now. By Yzerfontein, only about 1 and a half hour drive from Cape Town. Loved this place. Want to go back always.
