WeFix iPhone battery replacement prices slashed

Don't do it - non genuine parts, will void your warranty (if still applicable).

Discovery sent me there for a screen replacement on my iPhone 7, silly me - didn't read the fine print which states that non genuine parts are fitted and warranty is void once device is opened.

Their non original screen was terrible - colour were incorrect and not vivid. Put up enough of a stink and Discovery replaced the device.

"Apple is offering users in the US a battery replacement for $29, which is valid for the iPhone 6 or newer – regardless of diagnostic test results."

Guess this is ONLY in the US. I went to the Apple store on Sandton Drive (booked appointment for my iPhone 7 for the battery replacement). I did this after the article published last week about the low cost replacement.

They tested my phone ... "no sir - its still running within normal parameters". Even after complaining about why I need to charge my phone twice a day, every day...

I insisted and they said I might be able to get my name on a waiting list, but they cant tell me when the replacement will occur, and when it occurs it will take 10 working days!

Iphone 7 is one of worst phones I've had. Will be switching back to Android for my next one.

It's a WeFix battery = do not want. Had one of these exapnd in an old phone after just over 12 months.. so yea.. if you can get a genuine replacement, do that.

Had them replace most of ours last year during the sale but I think there's one left to do...

I just phoned there Pavilion Branch in Durban and they dont seem to be aware of these prices?

Thanks Marlin. I wanted to pose this question earlier but couldn't quiet phrase it properly. I had a similar issue with iFix battery some time ago (where I suspected their battery not to be genuine).

Only authorised Apple resellers can do genuine parts, and if it's genuine you will pay the same as iStore.

Wefix / iFix / Apple Doctor all fit non genuine parts

I think the small phones have terrible battery life, I used to own an iPhone 6plus and the battery life was really good. It lasted me the whole day and I am always on my phone, if I didn’t use the phone the battery wouldn’t even go down by 1% but then the phone suffered from the notorious hardware issue.

I then got an IPhone 6s(the small one) as the replacement, The battery life on this one is terrible I charge it 3 times a day and if I don’t use it the battery loses 5-10% of its power. I went to the istore and they say it’s Normal and many of my friends have the same phone and they have the same battery problems as I do. The ones with the Plus phones have aswesome battery life.

My upgrade is this year and I will definitely be getting the plus phone or the X. Unfortunately android doesn’t do it for me so that’s not even an option .

I seem to recall seeing an article that Apple was stopping production of the X?

Wefix are not aware of the article in question and not provide genuine parts
