I've just had my morning wasted at @WeFix. I had an iPhone in for a battery replacement, and on taking delivery of the phone I noticed there was zero functioning of the diagnostics etc in the 'Battery' section in the system settings. On enquiring about this, the staff informed me they only use generic parts, and this function wouldn't work with their fongkong whoknowswhatsinthere "battery". Needless to say, I had them remove their battery and I will of course be having Apple install a rated replacement into my R20k phone.
The manager at WeFix thinks this ok. It's ok that zero info on this was relayed to me in the transaction (I was sent an sms with an e-job card, with zero on this). All signs in-store allude to them being able to supply this kind of a service. Seems misleading to me.
