Post here if you have any ideas on how to pick up weight. No, I do not mean stuff your face with fatty food. I mean generally putting some meat on your body or bulking up.

Some people just have an overactive metabolism and can't put any meat on :D

Let's keep this to food only and leave the supplements, creatines, and steroids out of it. I'm only going to post (relatively) healthy options here.

Boiled eggs - 4g of protein per egg
Sliced bread - 4.6g of protein per slice IIRC
Baked potato - Good amount of carbs and the healthiest starch option.
Chicken - best meat protein
Lentils - Use this instead of rice and you get 26g protein and 61g carbs per 100g!!

Eat healthy carbs such as brown rice, baked potato, sweet potato, quinoa and couscous.

You don't want to be eating pasta and all other carbs with durum wheat, otherwise you will get an unwanted boep.

For guys that want to bulk up make sure you eat carbs for all three main meals:

Breakfast: OATS
Lunch: carbs mentioned above
Dinner: carbs mentioned above

With ofcourse 1/3 of the plate being green veggies and the remaining 1/3 a protein of your choice: fish or chicken and red meat not more than twice a week.

Careful with the chicken. You don't want to be eating it every day as your body will build a tolerance to it and won't absorb the protein as well as another source of it. Besides it's full of g-damn hormones, more than any other mean protein!!

Try not eat it for more than 3 days per week. I mix my protein intake up.

One day chicken, next fish, next red meat and so forth without eating red meat more than twice, usually only once...

For sure. Fish is the healthiest meat but not as effective for bulking up as chicken is, but then you can't have too much chicken either.

Whatever meal plan you're settled with, eat your regular portion and a half. Pasta should do the trick.

get a desk job when you sit on your a$$ 8 to 5 :)

I was a skinny bitch and decided i have to start living healthy, started to gym quit smoking and eating healthy, result = my body fsked im fat:D

That's because you ate incorrectly and trained incorrectly. Your perception of 'starting to live healthy' could have been completely wrong to what it should be.

I hear it so often! "I quit smoking and I went fat". It's because every time you crave that smoke you binge on junk instead.

I can't agree with Nafisa that you should 1.5x your regular amount. You don't want to stuff your stomach with too much food over one serving, otherwise it won't digest properly and you will most probably only get hungry in the followin 5-6 hours.

The trick is to eat as often as you can! Try chow something every 1.5 - 2 hours.. Continue to eat your main meals with regular portions. Try increase your 'snack' portion to double. So instead of 1 health snackwich make 2!

My version of a snackwich:
Toasted seed loaf
Avo
Tomato
Lean cold meat, turkey or chicken
Cottage cheese

(You get my idea)

I was weighing 64kg in matric and I'm 6ft tall. It's been 5 years doing Time Release training and i'm now 83kgs lean. It's helped me!

Don't forget to include healthy fats in your diet.

... avo ... nuts ... olive oil...

People are also way too hung up on not eating red meat IMO.

I have a brain and when i decided to stop smoking i also stopped eating unhealthy, I do not or have ever binged i do not like sweets, i do not buy coke and chips. Yes before i stopped smoking i hate take aways and junk. This now happens once a month, and then i go for sushi.
