Weight Loss Thread 2014

here's a stupid answer, you'll feel full :p

I don't usually feel full after I eat. Sometimes I feel nothing, which to me means I ate enough but sometimes eating just makes me more hungry. And this morning I had 2 eggs and bacon for breakfast but was hungry again like an hour later. Ate some nuts and then it wasn't long and I was hungry again. My nuts which were supposed to last for 4 generous snacks are nearly finished now... And they don't even taste nice. I'm eating them out of hunger. Which is why I thought maybe in general I don't eat enough, but I don't want to eat too much. I feel grumpy too and thinking about food makes me even more grumpy.

I found as rule of thumb your main meal should never be more than when you make two fists and place them next to each other (not scientific I know), it is said to be the size of your stomach un-stretched. Also found drinking about 500ml water about 1h before I eat a meal to help reduce the actual amount you eat also.

maybe give us a bit more in terms of what your total daily intake looks like

Ok usually:

Black coffee, 2 eggs, some bacon. Maybe a dark choccie.

Some nuts (ok more than some) or maybe a banana or an apple but mostly nuts.

1 or 2 eggs / 1/2 or full smoked chicken breast / 1/2 tin of tuna with avo oil and maybe some veggies depending on how lazy I am.
Coffee + dark choccie. Always.

More nuts or biltong if I get hungry. Usually end up with stomach ache after the biltong. :D

Repeat of lunch, usually with more veggies.

I put coconut oil in my coffee but my blender was weak sauce so the oil didn't mix in so nicely and it was a bit weird :D
The flavour was nice though...

Other than coconut or avo oil I don't think I'll easily get more fat in...

are you averse to red meat, chicken is generally pretty lean unless you eat it with the skin on

I can't think of anything worse than chicken skin  Except maybe cow skin...
I don't like eating anything that was once breathing, in general. The only red meat I actually like is biltong without fat. And then its preferable if I can eat it without having to touch it. I don't even want to touch the packet it comes in...

:D

Yikes! And I thought my phobia was bad :p

Its not really bad. Butcher boy knows he needs to put my packet inside another packet and when I say no fat it really does mean no fat. Washing my hands after each piece I eat is also acceptable, I'm sure :p

okay, here's my solution to your problem...

I'm moving you to my "beyond all help list", that way I don't have to come up with a real answer to any future questions  :p :D

I'm really not fussy. I have no problem living off chocolate and caramel. I just wouldn't live very long...
Seriously though, I'm not being naughty. The smell and taste of meat just puts me off easily. I'd eat much less if I could. Animal fat is the worst of all...

now I remember, we had this discussion last year...

wash, rinse, repeat

Yes, yes we did.
Its gotten better though. I made chicken wrapped in bacon the other day. I just boiled my hands afterwards... But I am trying :)
The cococoffee can work if I just get something decent to swirl it with.

98kg today, down from 106kg. Belt too loose after adding a new notch.

Had a cheat on Sunday for my 1.5 months of Noakes - 5 slices of large double cheese & pepperoni pizza. Felt pretty **** afterwards, but I put it down to carb loading or what ever it was mentioned a page ago.

Need to start exercising!

Hey hey

Big high five!

Colour me impressed. Congrats !!!

You are now at the target weight I am aiming to be end of July.

I have also come to realise that the cheating taste-reward comes at too higher discomfort price... well almost all... damned infernal chocolate is my exception.

Tempted no more am I by pizza or bread or pasta etc. Just not worth the almost instant crash and discomfort that follows.

You need more animal fats Im afraid. If you really cant do those then you are going to need to eat a bunch of avo's and fatty oily fish by the bucket load.
The thing about LCHF is that the fat is what keeps you going for long.
I have found some biltong bites that are almost 50% fat, two pieces of that as a snack and Im good for the next few hours.

Well done plasma guy!! :D
I recon cheat days are important to still be able to feel like a normal person sometimes.

Does bunny shaped chocolate count as animal fat? :(
