Weight Loss Thread 2014

If my wife doesn't get a visit from the Whoosh Fairy soon I'm in a world of shyte :o
I'm so happy that Mr Mila lost the weight this week. :o He just doesn't shed the weight as easily. And he gets to a point after a week saying I did this, tortured myself for nothing. Screw this. :o
His job is highly stressful and with my unemployment coming up soon it is weighing heavily. And just like me, he is an emotional eater. :o
 
Two months in and my total is 28.1kg's off. I never thought I'd be this fit and healthy again to be very honest and the best part is - I love eating what I eat now. It's win win :)

73.4 today. It seems the ribs caused me to lose more weight if anything.
Great job everybody. I almost wish I had been bigger, so I could compete properly with some of you. :D

Maybe there WAS some sugar in those ribs! My results plateaued until I started re-feeding once a week on carbs.
 
I thought I was being really good, but I must have faltered somewhere coz I put back 2 kilo .. Very upset :/

Don't be upset. One thing I got from the last 2 months is that now and then your old ways will mount up and you will have a mini breakout, it's almost inevitable. The thing is to laugh it off and then put the blue steel look back on and buckle back down. I did it about 3 times and I just did a wee bit exercise the next day to negate it. If you get too serious about it, it will eat you up inside and you will end up eating more bad stuff. Hang tough bro! :)

Thanks bru. I guess I was just so excited about the initial loss.. Felt like I had finally found a diet that worked. So when I saw the weight coming back, my heart sank a bit.

your bathroom scale can be an ally but it is not your friend, weight in itself is not a real indication of fat loss, you may have still lost fat and yet on the day that you weigh yourself you may have water retention which indicates a weight gain which isn't fat gain, don't stress about it, you can fluctuate up to 2kg's between days
 
If you're on LCHF then the left one, if you're on any of the other diets that don't work then the right one cos it has less calories
 
How long before the sugar cravings stop :o

Been a week, I would do strange things for toffee at the moment :D
 
Seriously fell out the bus this weekend. Had a dinner party at friends on Friday and hosted my father in law's birthday on Saturday. Multiple potjies, potatoes and puddings later with a generous amounts of alcohol. Felt crap yesterday and was 2kg' heavier this morning. :(
 
So yesterday I had a huge win. Discovered a farmers market that's walking distance from home, that has pastured and organic everything. About to have pastured bacon for breakfast.
 
Ok done moving house. Now no more excuse for takeaways :mad:
The rain is probably going to mess with jogging though.

Btw, can anyone suggest a decent place to swim in Pretoria? Looking for a heated pool and Hillcrest doesn't count... I don't do cold very well :o
