Weight Loss Thread 2014

Oh SS, really now you're trying to defend an immutable position, so you're right and we all misunderstood you. Toddle off then and go and find the right forum where people will understand you. You're the one that started with attitude.

This is a forum about weight loss, not detoxification, it's a thread that ran last year and this year where people have shared personal experience and lots of scientific evidence. So sorry if none of us believe in your unfounded theory on lipid cleansing.

In fact it took me all of 5 minutes of decent research this morning to pronounce it as pseudoscience. If you want advice on lipid cleansing go and find a pseudoscience forum with like minded people that will give you all the advice that I'm sure you're looking for.

Once again... Mr know it all has all the answers!

Please submit your findings that 'decent' my claim!

Since you're yet to even know what I "CLAIMED" works!

Your bed must be right up against the wall seeing as you wake up on the wrong side of the bed everyday!

Om nom nom, had a perfectly done (ie medium rare) ±500g T-bone last night. Perfect for our diet right OMB? :p

But more seriously, getting well into the swing of things. I don't even know how (or why) I would go back to what I was eating. And same as copa, I just dont feel the need to have alchohol anymore (though this is in part due to what I want to achieve in terms of strength this year). Almost every night prior to this way of eating I'd have a "double" of something or other, and weekends 2 or 3 a day. Now I'm amazed if I have one drink a week!

I will do a weekly update from now

15 January - 115kg
20 February - 106.4kg
25 February - 105.3kg

My Goal is 95kg by end March. Still 10kg to go. It is getting harder now.

This weeks update down to 104.3.
My goal is tight. On top of it all, we are moving house, my wife has 2 business trips to Vryburg and PE(I'm joining her), It's my birthday at the end of the month and I'm changing jobs. It's going to be very very busy the next 3 weeks.

I'm the same, zero alcohol cravings when low carb

I never was really much of an alcohol fan before, I have a castle light or a glass of wine once a week but that is all.
My motto through all of this is something I picked up in this thread "thin feels better than fat tastes" :D

I just have to share this as well.

For the past 7 years I was on medication for severe heartburn. I had to take one RaniHexel tablet each night before I went to bed otherwise I would wake up gasping for air because the acids had pushed up all the way to my throat.

Since starting the Low carb thing it slowly started getting better and now for the past two weeks I have not taken one of those tablets at night, or any time for that matter. Pharmacist was surprised when I walked in yesterday and I stopped him while he started getting my monthly supplies ready.

I used to sleep with a box of Gaviscon sachets next to the bed, sometimes I'd go through a box in a week, currently I've used one sachet in the last 6 months

Since we're sharing :p
Coconut oil is just about the best thing ever in my tea. I can finally grow my nails without them breaking. They’re as hard as...well, nails :D

I could have been called an alcoholic, in all seriousness (booked myself into bloody rehab some time ago, in fact). It's verging on the miraculous, this diet...

How do you make it?

Well, some of us are here to remove undesirables from our lipid cells, right?

apparently.

so just for the benefit of SS the Hubbard sauna and detoxification method has apparently had some success in removing residual "stuff" from adipocytes

So you found the magic bullet?

You mentioned in another thread a while back that you need to quit alcohol. Im really happy for you that this way of eating has had benefits. I think we are quite similar in finding something to focus on and being very dedicated to it.
