Weight Loss Thread 2014

I have the same problem... I added extra holes in my belt, but now my pants are all bunched up...
I am putting off buying pants for a while, at least until my weight loss settles down a bit.

I have been putting it off too because I dont want to repeat the exercise again in a few months.

I've tried holding off on new pants because I still have some to go and would then obviously have to get new pants again but when you take 3 steps and your pants and baggies just drop off ...... well, no avoiding it, heh

I weighed in today, 79.4kg. Had a wobbly 2 weeks where I wasnt strictly banting, restaurants, meals at family etc. But I was exercising so I think it helped keep excess weight off. Almost at my goal of 76kg's...want to get there by mid April :D

so I started banting(HFLC) on Sunday. I've been really strict with carbs, lots of veggies, and as much fat as possible(but I must admit, I don't think I'm consuming enough fat. any suggestions on upping fat intake would be nice)

Yesterday was a horrible day. Made fried eggs and bacon for breakfast and shortly after that I became extremely nauseous, hazy and feeling generally bad and sleepy. I went home at about lunch time and basically slept for the rest of the day. I'm feeling much better today.

so what am I doing wrong? could I be consuming too little fat? or maybe my blood sugar is too low?

sounds like you very quickly went into a transition phase, that's the point when your body shifts from being carb dependent to starting to use fats for fuel, for some it's a gradual thing for others (and I include myself here) it's like going into withdrawal from an addictive substance (I had extreme fever and profuse sweating with disorientation).

you'll need to give us a some indication of how much fat and of what type you're consuming so that we can give you an idea of whether it's too little

Yup you just switched, whatever you do DO NOT have any carbs this weekend or you'll switch back, the first few days after the transition are the most important to stay vigilant....

That nausea was your brain saying you've had enough to eat now but telling you a bit late. You'll find now that you'll get to a point in your meal and go, ''oh, I don't need to eat that''... Is a weird feeling to get used to.
