Weight Loss Thread 2014

sounds like some of you lot need to start investigate your gut flora, start looking at prebiotics
<Might be a good idea. I was also consitpated on LCHF untill i started using probiotics. Look at the Imsyser range, I can vouch for it. It is a 12 strain probiotic

Wife is away. Menu has deteriorated but still keeping principle.

yes, you can look at probiotics as well, but as I recall last I read prebiotics are better

Guys, watch your water intake. I noticed with this colder weather I am not drinking anywhere near as much water as I was a week ago and things have definitely firmed up.

Green tea sorts out the digestion system in no time. 2 or 3 cups a day... Also pick up some psylium husks or husk powder. 2 tea spoons once a day is enough.

Just a slight update - Week 1 down, no cheating what so ever. Started Monday and weighed in at 90.7 weighed in this morning at Gym and on 88.45 :)

Guys. Help me out here.

Started Banting about 10 days. Weight before 82.1. Height 179cm. Weight stuck at 79.7.
Not moving from here. Haven't cheated.

Dude you've lost 3 kg's in a week and a half, calm the **** down... It takes time, this isn't a diet for fast weight loss

What ScottulusMaximus said. I am a fast loser on low calorie diets (3 a week) but on banting, just over 1 a week. The great thing is you should be losing while eating like a king!

Lol.
Amy references for weight loss goals.
Can I expect to get to a BMI of 22 without any exercise in the long run.

Only one reference, stick to the diet and you'll lose weight... BMI is a completely irrelevant and totally useless scale of measurement, ignore it

So what is the end point if BMI is not a reference scale?

There is no end point to this diet, either you're on it for life or you'll immediately put all the weight back on again... LCHF isn't a ''diet'' in the traditional sense, it's a complete eating lifestyle change

I started Tuesday and this morning weighed in and lost 2kgs. Not too shabby.

Back from a week of timeshare in the Garden Route and the scale is unhappy - 4kg's up! While I enjoyed myself eating all kinds of rubbish, I feel miff and can't wait to get back into ketosis - tired of craving food all the time.

Made a ton of egg mayo for work meals and am ready to get back onto LCHF and really want to stick to it indefinitely now - the inflammation in my gout ankle is hectic and only LCHF clears that up.

Tomorrow is DAY 1!

Why didn't you do Banting whilsts away?
It's the best thing for vacations.
