Hey everyone,

I'm having some really odd behavior today on my connection. Sometimes downloads run at the usual speeds of around 80KB/s, then drop to <1KB/s. If I stop and resume them, they speed up.

Some sites are slow - as if I am capped, like Youtube and so on.

Anyone else having this?

I'm also having this problem where my browsing feels like I'm capped or something.

Yeah... things take forever to resolve at the moment this side. You also on a 41.xxxxxxx address, DW?

Also, weren't you previously on mywireless?

ya its slooooow, SlOoOoOoOoW, youtube = Slooowowow. International + iBurst = SloooowNoWaitItsOkHoldOnNopeItSlowSorryBoutThat

I've disconnected and reconnected, and got a 19x.x.x.x addy.

Speedtest.net says – 490ms ping, download at 300kbps... last night, however, I was downloading files at around 90 to 110KB/s. Sometimes it even spiked up to 115 to 120KB/s... it was awesome.

downloading with multiple sections i assume?
its the browsing thats the irritating part.

Yeah I'm using a download manager. Browsing is slow... it seems to take a long time to resolve the address, once it starts loading it's not too bad.

Single threaded downloads hover around 17KB/s though...

Yeh sometimes the net is a bit slow, specially during high traffic hours.
But they missed something on their advertising (17x faster?)

I'm downloading on average up to 50x faster than on dial-up near the tower here ;)

PS This is calculated from my download manager logs as in how many MB/min and pretty accurate.

My Downloads are running @ approx 100KBps but browsing is very slow...

Also the Iburst speed test shows Jitter to be too high for VoIP...

Thus skype is not running as I would like... :(

I did tests on speedtest.net and found something intresting...

My international test (Amsterdam) is faster than my local test (Cape Town).

I did this 5 times & each time this was the case.... International is almost double than local...

Weird...
