So its that time of the year, where friends from far and wide shower me with gifts (:crylaugh: I wish)
But I digress.
A friend gave me a bottle of Jameson, and when i opened it I could not help but wonder what the hell this white plastic thing is. First time I have seen it, I opend another bottle I bought at tops not to long ago and it did not have this white thingy at the top. Can someone please enlighten me.

Isn’t it just a built in tot measure?

So you can basically turn it upside down and it I’ll only pour one tot?

Otherwise I would imagine it’s just a fancy seal like milk boxes and the like have.

So is this a new thing on Jameson bottles? as I have never seen this like in ever? or is this maybe an imported bottle or something

Many bottles have similar setups in these days so it’s probably just a case of new stock.

Aren’t all of them imported?

Could also just be serving the purpose of a built-in aerator.

Okay it serves two purposes.

1. To control the pour so you can basically turn it upside down in a cocktail bar fashion without it gushing out.

2. It stops you from refilling it with something else. So a tamperproof seal then.

Is this the standard Jameson or one of the fancier ones? Maybe if it’s an expensive version the latter is why you see it on this particular bottle and not others.

Or they all just get it now.

Its the standard bottle.

Had a closer look at the bottle I got from spar tops is 43% and the bottle I got from the friend is 40% with the fun stopper and that is the only difference I can see. The plot thickens.

That's an imported version, I know in Germany the alcohol is at 40%, not that it makes a difference

I had bottles like that about a year ago...they were 1l bottles, but haven't seen them since.
