So at about 8 pm this even I recieved a really weird sms on my landline. It sounded like a robot speaking but I could pretty much make out what it said. Firstly, it arrived in two parts (as in, two phone calls to finish the initial message).
It went something like this: something/someone blahblah has detected (or some word like that) that your landline was used to dial a mega something blah blah adult chat line. Your phone is like a car or firearm, you must control it (or something like that), please dial Joanna ( I think that was the name) at 03somethingsomethinglongnumber.
Wtf? Is this some sort of scam? Did someone break into my house while I was at work just to call an adult chatline? I don't get it. And, it was creepy as hell. Anyone else shed some light on this?
