ello everyone
hoping someone can help, experiencing a weird problem
I'v got a netgear adsl (512k option)router on the network.
My pc using ftp software, everday sends 8 files to our other store (stock updates and transfers) 6 of these files are small (2 to 4kb each) the other two are 3 & 6megs a piece.
It sends these to my server in durban (sentech512, cant get adsl
Anyway, its been working fine everyday for the last 4 or 5 months. No hassles at all.
The past week though, it keeps timing out on the two big files. I tried several FTP software and all give the same error "read timeout"
I have to manually zip the files to a small 500kb zip. upload it to the server, remote access it, unzip it and extract to the right folder. Not something i want to do daily.
the ONLY thing thats changed over the last week is:
- other side upgraded to 512k sentech (from 256k)
any ideas?
