Hi Guys & Dolls, I have a few times experienced a weird problem with printing, maybe there is someone here who can help me - and, yes, I have googled the problem but have not been able to find a solution. When I print a document containing some or all text in Calibri font, that text does not print. Let me elaborate: if I print an e-mail from Outlook (2003), and it contains various fonts, all of it is printed except that portion in Calibri, where it leaves a gap where the text should be. Copy and paste to Word 2003, and the same thing happens. Or if I start a new document in Word, using Calibri, again it does not print.

But here's the weird part: if I print the same e-mail from Outlook 2010 (Beta), then it prints okay, or likewise if I copy and paste the text into Word 2010.

Now I'm aware that Calibri is a new font that came out with Vista - I'm running XP - and I believe it is the default in Office 2007, but it is installed as one of my Windows fonts.

Any thoughts, please?

Interesting... Windows Explorer shows it as True Type - calibri.ttf - but when I view the file it says it is Open Type. But then so do the other fonts such as Arial, Times New Roman and Verdana.

Download another Calibri.ttf font or whatever extension, replace the one on C-Panel. And see what changes happen.

Thank you FarligOpptreden and Khanya. Been there, done that: I have some months ago installed the MS Office compatibility pack when I started receiving .docx files that had to be opened. I have also tried downloading another calibri file, but it is not a "free" font and the one I tried seemed to be infected. Sorry, I should have stated these facts originally, my bad.

Hmm.. This is getting interestinger and interestinger. Basically, the result is the same: Print (to pdf) from Word 2003 and the font does not show; print from Word 2010 and it does. BUT - if I immediately try again from Word 2003 then it does show! Same behaviour if I print to the physical printer.

So I think we have established that the problem is not with the printer, the font itself is present, Word 2003 CAN but most of the time DOES NOT print it, and I really don't understand why.

Tried a reinstallation of Office 2003 - sorry to say that hasn't helped either. But thanks, anyway.
