So just recently I encountered a very random problem/ issue. A few days ago I changed my power settings in control panel so that the computer never goes to sleep and display doesnt tun off. After I did this and was done for the night I shut my PC down like normal and went so sleep.

Woke up, turned pc on, everything powered up but nothing on the screen? Thought dam as Id just got a new screen and card. Well not new but traded ones. (had no issues with both components) Restarted but noticed that the pc doesnt beep once like normal when it starts up. Its starts and everything runs but no beep and no screen?

Cleared the CMOS by moving jumpers etc. That worked and pc turned on fine. Also noticed that it sounded like my card spun up faster like it should and not at a silent amble speed that it was doing. It tried to resume Windows but I stopped it as I wanted a proper boot. Reset worked fine got into Windows. Changed power setting back.

Turned PC of at the end of the night and same thing the next day. Only way I can start it is if I clear the CMOS each time. Ive also removed the bios battery instead of clearing cmos but that doesnt work? Also did a system restore and same thing.

What have I done?

Thanks in advance.

What GPU did you put it? Did you have any problems with the other GPU? i.e this only started happening after the other GPU was added?

Previously I had a MSI 5850 now I have a Inno 3D GTX 275. No problems with either cards. It just randomly happened. Had the 275 for over 2 weeks now and nothings wrong with it.
