Hi

I got my solar solution installed last week, i didn't DIY it.
It is a Sunsynk inverter with Revov batteries.

I have noticed something strange during the day with good sun, the battery charges to 100%, but then throughout the day it slowly discharges down to 99% before the PV recharges it back up to 100%; this happens a few times during the day.
I have changed my "priority to load" and have switched off my Eskom connection. The PV generates more than enough to run the house so why is the inverter/battery doing this?

Thanks

Sounds normal, all my Ecoflows do the same, only recharges again once it hits 99%

Thanks for the replies. If it is normal, then no worries. Was worried that such shallow discharges over time might undermine my LiFePo4 batteries.

There's a good reason they say they have a 80% upwards depth of discharge, a 1% is hardly anything to bother the batteries.

Also remember that PV production is not constant so the battery will have to chip in now and again.

It’s probably BMS related where the BMS turns off charging circuit when battery is full then turns on again when a certain level has been reached.
