Hi there technojunkies

Yesterday I was using a normal Ps2 optical mouse. I bought a MS wireless USB mouse, plugged it in and all was great!

Except I noticed my screensaver/power saving would not come on any more on my desktop.

I have taken the batteries out of the mouse and left it lying there, still no joy.

Anyone have any idea what I can do to get my screensaver/screen off to work now?

If there is no solution, is it ok to just turn off my 22 inch LCD off when I leave the workstation and put it on again when needed?

I am using a desktop PC, not a laptop and the mouse is the only thing different from yesterday to today.:confused:

It is the wireless. It doesn't update windows that it is stationary, thus it thinks it is active and being used. You need an update. I had the same problem. Is this on Vista?

Turning off the LCD is not bad for the screen afaik, but having a working screensaver/powersaver is always nice. :)
