Every now and again I get a weird fleeting shock in the middle of my left ribcage that jumps straight to my left bicep and disappears.

Pain: 4/10
Time is lasts - less than a second.

Very distinct feeling though - and always in the exact same spot -

Doesn't feel serious enough to go to doc and would probably be tough to diagnose.

Thoughts?

I get the same in my neck from time to time. I have it down to a nerve being caught on something.,

I had the exact same back when I was younger and working on the farm...driving tractors with a plow and looking back a lot made it happen quite frequently...was scary as hell the first time, thought I was going to have a stroke or something...

You are having a heart attack.

Go to the doc , that feeling on the left side running up to your bicep sounds like a mild heart attack.

From http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Heart-attack/Pages/Symptoms.aspx

Symptoms can include:

chest pain – a sensation of pressure, tightness or squeezing in the centre of your chest
pain in other parts of the body – it can feel as if the pain is travelling from your chest to your arms (usually the left arm is affected, but it can affect both arms), jaw, neck, back and abdomen
feeling lightheaded or dizzy
sweating
shortness of breath
feeling sick (nausea) or being sick (vomiting)
an overwhelming sense of anxiety (similar to having a panic attack)
coughing or wheezing

check it out; had a while when it felt only one lung was filling with air; felt like always hard to breathe
turns out one lung was caught on some nerve or something and not filling properly....

didnt go to a doc, fixed itself all on its own...

google it bro

worse thing possible; even reading a medical dictionary will make you think you got ebola....

go to a doc; at least do a few tests maybe an EKG just to be sure.......

and GET a SECOND and even Third opinion especially if you got a flashy discovery classic comprehensive card.....

I'll go to doc then - don't think its a heart attack unless I have a mini one every day but who knows. I'm probably going with pinched nerve - Have been having some pretty severe back pain which leads onto my rib -

Thanks for advice all
