Okay, so I want to download a few files from gofile.io.

My computer, the connection times out.

My laptop, the connection times out.

My Cellphone - connects fine.

All connected to/via RAIN 5G.

When on occasion in the past, when needing to download from them, not been an issue.

Use FireFox browser on both laptop and computer.

So, try Windscribe free VPN exiting in London, on laptop, can connect, and download files without issue.

My cellphone connects, no issue, and my laptop connects no issue, via a VPN.

Laptop and computer do not connect via normal connection. Cellphone does. Laptop connects via VPN.

I do not understand and it is bugging me somewhat.

Anyone have an explanation?

All sharing the same public IP via the rain connection..?

Yes, same connection - cellphone is connected via Wi-Fi. VPN obviously changes IP and location.

Edit: If the cellphone does not time out to the same link, then niether should either the laptop or computer.

Traceroutes are going to be your friend here..

Check that you're not using some weird custom DNS on your windows machine - something that does ad blocking or similar.

Will do thanks, tho I only use FireFox native security ... , far as I remember. Maybe an extension is misbehaving

Ignore the linux stuff. From the command line, try
Code:
nslookup gofile.io
That will do a DNS lookup using your current DNS server

Then try:
Code:
nslookup gofile.io 1.1.1.1
If the first one fails and the second one works, set your DNS to 1.1.1.1
