Weird stuff in your camera bag

I was cleaning out my camera bag yesterday when my old man strolled by, pointed out a couple of items and asked what they were doing there - they being a lid from a Nestle Nan formula can and a packet of rolling papers - both useful tools for any photographer.

What little oddities do you keep at hand with your camera?

Nan lid - white balancing
Rolling papers - lens cleaning. They're much more readily available here than lens paper. Just avoid using the glue part

Laptop, gym clothes and lunch box, so far, but that will have to change once my new baby arrives

Speaking of which, what do you guys recommend in terms of gloves for cold days? Everything I've tried so far is way to thick and clumsy to be able to do anything with the camera - can't even accurately press the shutter on my CyberShot.

Something else, don't you guys think the time is ripe for a photography section on MyADSL?

Gloves? Men dont wear gloves oh, and the majority of us are (still) in Africa!

Maybe once or twice. I'm used to that sort of cold.
