SETUP
Telkom Mega 105WR router/modem
PC with fixed network card
Acer Laptop with wireless and fixed netwrok card
Windows XP Proff
Both fixed network cards on DHCP

SITUATION
The PC can browse the internet normally, connect to the internal networks and access the router.
The laptop can connect to internal networks (though it does take long to connect compared to the PC) and access the router but cannot browse the internet. DHCP is setup on the router.
Now heres the kicker :- On a unsecured wireless network the laptop can browse the internet perfectly and same as using MTN 3G. The laptop just wont browse the internet on this router using both LAN cable and wireless. So its not IE or FF. I have done extensive testing and trouble shooting, reseting the router using restore factory defaults and holding in the reset key for over 10 seconds and resetting it up at which case the PC connected perfectly to internet and laptop wont allow internet.
The internet on the laptop worked perfectly, was playing WOW then my GF went out of WOW to go on MSN and msn wouldnt connect and thats when we found internet just stopped working. So internet on the laptop crashed just after exiting WOW.
Pinging websites and internet IP's from the PC works but get request timed outs for laptop if try to ping a internet IP or if a website cannot resolve host.

What I can draw from this is that somehow windows is preventing internet connections to that particular router but allowing everything else to anywhere else or that the router is blocking internet activity from the laptop using both fixed and wireless network card but I have reset the router twice to default settings and like I said it has been working for past 3 months. Can access the router using 10.0.0.2 from the laptop using both wireless and LAN.
Any suggestions will be really appreciated.

So even using a "default" setup on your router you are unable to browse the internet with the laptop? But you can browse with the desktop?

Is UPnP (Universal Plug 'n' Play or something in that order if I remember correctly) enabled on the router by any chance?

Not sure... but the strange thing is with the laptop being off the whole night and switched back on it is working again. So the laptops internet is working now. Very strange.

Well I have encountered the problem when UPnP is turned on because it allows a computer to change firewall settings and Windows makes a royal cockup of it.

Apart from that I can't really think of anything...

Connect to your router's HTTP config page and note the two DNS entries. Enter those DNS entries in the TCP/IP configuration on both your PC & Laptop.
