Weirdest road rules around the world

We have 2 stop signs in our town where the streets make a mere 90° turn which worked out so due to estates being laid out. No cross traffic whatsoever. No reason to stop!

Our streets are full of 'speed bumps'. A joy for duallie and off road bikes to use as ramps, and a noise and wear and tear generating device for cars stopping and accelerating, while serving no purpose as intended.

We have entitled pedestrians and cyclists allowed on our roads thinking they own it not yielding for vehicles.

We have taxis effectively exempt from heeding any traffic rules without consequences.

One can go on and on. SA is even more unique, mostly in execution and application than the rules themselves.
