I have been with Axxess ever since I got ADSL and they have provided me with excellent service and I love doing business with them. Unfortunately after seeing guys pulling download way over their caps each month with Telkom Internet I have decided to give in and get a doBroadband package. R70 a gig is killing me at the moment with Axxess.

Telkom, you suck. You sell the wholesale bandwidth. How is somebody else supposed to compete with you?

For now i am sticking with R70 at Axxess, but only cause for the time being my usage is a bit low and because i can carry over the unused portion.

But yeah, i think if you are going a bit large, might as well get as much out of telkom as you can.

Well you may have missed the party i'm afraid. Telkom is starting to get hard arsed with their capping. Last 2 months I've been capped around 1.6gb on a 1gb acc. Compared to last year where I was getting 9gb+ on a 3gb acc.

Yeah, but now they have the cheap SAIX local bandwidth tacked on, which is useful if you know what a news server is.

I've just jumped the Telkom ship due to their unpredictable capping strategy which caused me to have to purchase additional bandwith on a number of occasions. Basically I prefer knowing what I'm getting and planning for it.... I also feel a lot better not giving my money to them (and yes, I know I'm actually paying them via my ISP...it just feels better!)

This month I have been capped on 4.7GB international on DO 1 package - maybe TI is slipping again ?

About 90% of people in this thread have all been capped at over 200% of their cap.
