We have a large Wendy house (see photo) which we would like to no longer have.

In order of preference:

1 - would anyone pay to come and remove it?
2 - would anyone come and remove it for free (maybe a charity?)
3 - what would it cost to pay someone to come and remove it?

Inside, there are two "rooms", one bigger and one smaller, and a toilet with a basin and shower (which needs some tlc). It's a sturdy thing, so would take a fair bit of dismantling (I guess you could also hoist it over our garage in one piece with a large crane...).

We're in Cape Town.

All help much appreciated :)

What is the size of it? There is a small possibility that I might bite the hook of option 1

I would have taken option 2 .... but CT is just too far. That's a nice Wendy.

It's 2.7m to the peak of the roof from the bottom
2.4m wide
6.4m long

Other info: it has two doors to the outside. And one door to the bathroom inside. And two windows.

Ya it's a nice thing but we don't have the need for it and want to make the space a nice garden area instead.
No kids i assume ? (And one never assume). I've got too much garden space in need of some sort of building ontop.

Put it on gumtree as a giveaway. I'm sure someone will take it.

You could probably even get some money for it.

Ya. I guess I'd rather see it go to a forumite who can make good use of it, if I could choose. Not desperate to make a massive profit but if it is worth something then the cash would go towards some astro and garden things to put in its place (trees and pots and whatnot).

Shoo it is tempting but 6m is a bit too big for my space. And yeah bud as others have said at that size this is not insignificant to get it out in usable pieces.

Good luck

I think your only realistic option is to demolish it piece by piece and sell for scrap. You might get lucky and find someone who would be willing to demolish it for free for you in exchange for the scrap.

No worries. Thanks. Yeah, if our space was different, or even if it was located somewhere else, we might want to hang onto it. But where it is now, it's not really what we need.

advertise on gumtree/facebook for like 1/3rd of what a new on costs. You will be surprised at how many people may be interested
