Werner Lindemann is the Vice President for Global Technology Services at IBM Sub-Saharan Africa.
Werner joined IBM as part of the worldwide PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting acquisition in October 2002. Since then, he has worked in general management, consulting, product sales and solution sales positions in the IBM Corporation. His most recent roles in IBM have been:
· STG Executive, IBM Sub-Saharan Africa, where he managed IBM’s systems business to the #1 position in that marketspace, outgrowing the market by more than 20% for two consecutive years. · Director of Power Systems, IBM EMEA, where he drove the i/os product line to revenue and profit growth by the end of 2007. · Vice President of Sales, Systems & Technology Group, IBM CEEMEA (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa), where he was responsible for all sales of IBM’s hardware product lines across 98 countries.
During this period he spent 3 years living in Europe and the Middle East, returning to South Africa in January 2010.
Before joining IBM, Werner was involved in consulting for 8 years. During this time he has specialised as a business and corporate strategy consultant, consulting for a range of clients and facilitated various forms of strategic planning, business decision-making and operationalisation of strategy.
