West Beach coverage

Hi Guys,

So we are moving into West Beach next week... had a look at Telkom's site shows ADSL but no VDSL anybody in the area have other options for broadband...

We will be in Balmorral road.

We are in Balmoral Road however, I have just given up fighting the Telkom over ADSL. SNR is too high for a reliable connection above 2 Mb/s. I have now moved to LTE which is acceptable.

Such is life, unfortunately but the only bright spot is that we have an LTE base station very near by.

I am not sure if the entire length of Balmoral Road is fed from the same source so you might be in luck and find your ADSL is good. I think our problem is twofold - copper is too long (have been told that I am over 4 km's from exchange because of the route taken from my house to the exchange) and Bloubergstrand is a very congested exchange. Sounds like they need to deploy an MSAN to your street. You guys should join forces and take Telkom on seeing as you're all at Balmoral Road ? If they see multiple users interested it usually becomes more viable
