What Affordable Android Tablets Are Avaliable?

Yeah, definitely try to get a Nexus 7 as it got a bit cheaper for black friday in many stores. It's really worth it, mostly because of the native android OS and update support as it's a Google device. Access to Play store is a thing that a tablet must have, yet many of the lesser known brands of tablets have blocked it.

But if your wallet can't afford a 200$ tablet, you have to make a few compromises. I'd recommend that you take a look at some of these cheaper ones http://www.mawista.com/blog/en/top-cheapest-tablets-for-students/ . Mainly build for reading ebooks but they're fine for other stuff too like browsing and media.

So you can find plenty of tablets under 100$ that will fit your needs.

Ok not to sound like a Apple hater but look at what your getting for the same price hardware wise. Plus iPad Mini 16gb for $459 or Nexus 7 3G 32gb for $299? I think the iPad mini will be much more. A better option willl be to get a 2nd Gen iPad if possilble.

Well, I don't mind typing on a small-ish screen - I mean, I have a small sized Samsung galaxy phone anyway so I'm used to getting used to screen sizes.

Well, it seems like everyone thinks a Nexus 7 is a good option - I did too until I found out that it does not have 3G. But I can use my android phone as a hotspot? I better find out how because it may just be an option.

Yup, might choose to sell my Netbook - it's a Dell one, pretty much brand new, too.
